Founded in 1974 by Barry Fisher and joined by his son, Dean, Fisher Marine Construction, Inc. is a locally owned and operated family business. We are located on Chincoteague Island, Virginia.
Because we are "islanders" we understand the effects of constant wind, water, and wave action on waterfront properties so we use the highest grade materials on our projects and our crew is dedicated to quality workmanship.

We have worked on hundreds of residential and business properties installing or repairing docks, bulkheads, and foundation piles as well as dredging. We have even transported houses and a rocket. We also have had several Government jobs. As a veteran owned business, we are proud to say we have also worked for the United States Coast Guard based in Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware as well as the U.S. Navy.
Some examples of our work include dredging the Indian River area in Delaware as well as in the Assawoman Bay in Ocean City, MD. We built the new harbor in Greenbackville, VA and did some repair work in Curtis Merritt Harbor in Chincoteague, VA as well as Quinby Harbor in Quinby, VA. We also constructed the fishing pier in Chincoteague, VA. For over 30 years we were the premiere marine construction company in Ocean Pines, MD and have laid over 30 miles of bulkhead and hundreds of docks in that area alone.
